Dr. Jeffrey Lucas awarded the distinction of Fellow from the American Association for the Advancement of Science

Jeffrey Lucas, Professor of Biological Sciences, has been awarded the distinction of Fellow from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world's largest general scientific society. This distinction recognizes notable work to advance science or its applications, and fellows are elected by peer members. Jeff received the honor for "distinguished contributions to animal behavior, optimality modeling, and animal communication, particularly in relation to the adaptive and mechanistic aspects of hearing in birds." He is
among three new fellows from Purdue, all of whom will be honored at the association's annual meeting in Chicago on February 15th.
