2010 Distinguished Science Alum

On Friday, April 16, 2010 the Department of Biological Sciences recognized Dr. Sally K. Mason as one of the 2010 Distinguished Science Alumni. Dr. Mason, along with 9 others were honored by the College of Science for the work and achievements they have had which has made a significant difference in our communities and lives. Dr. Mason, the current president of the University of Iowa, obtained her Master's degree in Developmental Biology from Purdue in 1974. During Mason's return to campus, she was able to interact with students, faculty and staff through various activities. It was the privilege of the Department of Biological Sciences to be represented by Dr. Mason an alumna that is greatly respected by her peers. We congratulate Dr. Sally K. Mason and thank you for all you have done to change the face of science!
